    Notes on reading our graphs

Each Dept's total pesticide use for fiscal year July, 2004 - June, 2005 has been profiled by:

  • Toxicity and Groundwater contamination table of all pesticides used
  • Total lbs of each pesticide product applied
  • Total lbs of active ingredients applied
  • Total lbs of pesticide product and active ingredient applied by toxicity characteristic, cancer causing, neurotoxicity, reproductive/developmental toxicity, hormone disruption, and groundwater contamination potential.
  • Some Depts' data have been further assessed for comparative use from earlier fiscal year, density of application, etc...

Funded in part by a grant from the Federal Centerfor Disease Control and Prevention, and awarded by the State Department of Health Services, Center for Environmental Health Tracking Program.

PfSE wishes to thank the following Campolindo and Acalanes High School Interns for their hard work developing these graphs that make sense of hundreds of documents.
